Corrections Policy
If a page is wrong, tell us and we will check it against the source and fix it. Substantive corrections are noted on the page with the date and what changed. Minor typo fixes are made silently.
How to report an error
Use the contact form and choose "Report a correction" or "Product information correction". Include the page URL, the specific claim you think is wrong, and a source if you have one.
What we do
- Acknowledge the report.
- Check the disputed claim against the manufacturer specification or documentation it came from.
- If it is wrong, correct it promptly and add a dated note to the page describing what changed.
- If it is a matter of interpretation, we may add context rather than change the conclusion, and we will explain why.
How corrections are marked
- Substantive correction (a fact, a specification, a recommendation): noted in the page’s update history with the date and a short description.
- Minor fix (spelling, a broken link, formatting): made without a note.
- The published date is not changed for a correction; the updated date is.
Manufacturer disputes
If a manufacturer tells us a spec or claim is wrong, we will verify it against their official documentation before changing anything. We will not remove accurate criticism or limitations at a manufacturer’s request.
